Our Story

Volto Di Guanciale, or what is now VDG Salumi, started as passion project of curing meat at home. Though the process has become more sophisticated, VDG will always be dedicated to handcrafting artisanal salumi. VDG can be found feeding purveyors of cured meats in restaurants in Calgary and Canmore, as well as grocery stores and supermarkets across the province. Sourcing local ingredients and local talent, all of VDG’s products are hand made to the highest standard of quality. Rest assured, you are in the hands of people
